We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer to will create eye-catching, visually-pleasing, functional and audience-motivating graphics/layouts for online as well as printed marketing materials based on input from key internal stakeholders (predominantly Marketing & Sales). Delivers these materials within corporate branding guidelines, within project timelines and in the appropriate medium.
•Take briefs and designs: infographics, brochures, documents, posters, product sheets, booth banners and other materials for print.
•Takes briefs and designs: email banners, ads, PowerPoint presentations, landing page graphics, microsite banners and other materials for online use.
•Coordinates with external printers and other vendors to ensure printed and online materials are de-livered to the company’s quality standard and within the expected budget as well as timeline.
•Assist in preparation of files for external vendors, service bureaus and printers.
•Participates in regular team brainstorming on how to best showcase products and services to motivate the desired sales/marketing behavior in specific target audiences.
•Generates and manipulates graphic images and content at the direction of the Marketing Director.
Education and Experience Requirements:
•Education equivalent to Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or the equivalent in related work experience at an ad/marketing agency or within a marketing department of a software company.
•Two or more years of experience as a graphic designer in an ad/marketing agency or within a marketing department of a software company. Must have an agency-level portfolio.
•Two or more years working experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
•Two or more years of experience with print and online graphic creation.
•Excellent understanding of typography.
•Cross-platform (web, tablet, video) design skills are an asset.
•Animation and digital interactive design skills are an asset.
•Demonstrates the ability to ask questions and gather information in order to create impactful marketing and sales deliverables and maintain integrity of the corporate brand(s). Demonstrates the ability to identify problems and suggest possible causes and solutions.
•Demonstrates the ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, and organized manner (written and verbal); listen to others to respond effectively to ideas and questions.
•Demonstrates the ability to manage own time, activities, and resources. Identify specific activities required to accomplish objectives, rank them in order of importance, and coordinate and take action to achieve desired results. Prioritize multiple activities and projects.
•Demonstrates the ability to interact and participate effectively in a team environment; actively listen, confront issues and provide feedback to others on the team as well as internal and external customers, in a courteous and timely manner.
•Must remain abreast of technological advances and be able to identify areas of use in the organization. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within graphic and web design.
•A great deal of creativity and latitude is expected. The ability to work directly with outside third-party vendors and internal IT is required.
•Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast paced environment.
