Acklands-Grainger (AGI) is refining its brand positioning to drive long-term growth. The brand manager will help introduce B2C brand processes and principles to a B2B environment by supporting this exciting initiative. He/she will be responsible for planning, developing and executing marketing efforts to activate the new positioning. The brand manager is accountable for nurturing relevant connections between customers with a focus on driving customer value, sales and market share.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply a disciplined marketing approach, working closely with the creative Agency of Record to successfully relaunch the AGI brand:
Lead the internal brand relaunch: Educate, inspire and engage team members to live the new brand promise through their daily actions.
Support the external brand relaunch: Help crystallize the brand positioning, develop key creative platforms for testing and communication planning.
Own the execution of the communication plan to deliver on key objectives.
Contribute to the development of the annual marketing strategy and execution plan, partnering with team members, key partners and stakeholders.
Own the Supplier Partner program and Catalogue strategy.
Lead the development and execution of the Exclusive Brands marketing communications strategy and support Product Management’s National roll-out.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance agency relationships and cross-functional team effectiveness.
Continuously measure, track and report results for all marketing initiatives, in close partnership with Analytics.
Provide customer-centric counsel to cross-functional partners.
Be the key executional liaison with multiple Agency partners.
Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all internal and external communications.
Track competitor marketing activities to enable AGI to stay ahead of competitors.
- University degree required (Business Administration or Commerce preferred, MBA an asset).
5 years progressive experience in marketing or communications:
- Experience working at/with a creative agency required.
- B2B experience an asset.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task with high volume output; results oriented.
- Ability to manage time effectively and treat deadlines as gospel.
- Strong internal and external customer focus.
- Ability to develop and manage internal relationships with key AGI stakeholders.
- Strong team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office programs with emphasis on Excel and Power Point.
