Dairy Queen Canada is looking for a Marketing Project Coordinator to join their team in Burlington, Canada

While supporting the Canadian marketing team, the Marketing Project Coordinator will be responsible for successful execution of various marketing initiatives.  This includes leading the execution of packaging design changes, menu labeling initiatives product pipeline and the development of local store marketing materials.

Principal Accountabilities:

 

Product Pipeline

  • Play an active role on the product pipeline team to have a strong understanding of projects for both street and mall business.

  • With guidance from Brand Manager determine annual Canadian pipeline plan.

  • Develop test timelines and manage all aspects of test execution including recruiting test stores and working cross functionally to ensure all test materials are created on time.

  • Work with the brand manager to determine success metrics and analyze test results.

  • Stay informed and up to date on competitive activity and actively provide updates on market trends.

  • Work with analyst team to lead analysis of marketing initiatives with guidance from Brand Manager.

  • Support the Brand Manager in developing the annual marketing plan as assigned.

  • Assist in managing and running conference calls with various committees.

 

 

Packaging Design

  • Execute all packaging design changes including working with US design team to obtain working files, develop bilingualized creative and managing stringent proofing and approval process to ensure flawless execution.

  • With guidance from Brand Manager, work alongside supply chain to co-ordinate implementation of new packaging designs in market, balancing marketing needs with inventory levels to minimize obsolete packaging inventory.

 

Local Store Marketing                                                                          

  • Work alongside the US Field Marketing Manager to review the monthly development of local store marketing materials supporting the national calendar and ensure they are applicable for both English and French Canada.

  • Co-ordinate posting of materials on the print hub.

  • With direction of Brand Managers, review LSM materials annually and remove any outdated materials.

  • Coordinate and review LSM radio.

  • With assistance from Brand Manager, provide direction on Bilingual and Coke POP materials to be developed by the Operations Assistant.

  • Support any one off LSM franchisee requests.

 

Menu Labeling                                                                                    

  • Stay informed on menu labeling requirements for Canada and provide updates for marketing team with implications.

  • Assist in executing any menu labeling requirements on marketing materials.

 

 

Required Skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and requests simultaneously, within an intense, deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to work cross functionally and effectively with team mates

  • University degree preferably in Communications or Marketing

  • Bilingual in written and spoken French is a strong asset

  • Experience with enclosed venue marketing is an asset

  • Outstanding customer service and phone skills, with desire to build mutually beneficial relationships with external and internal customers.

  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with a variety of audiences.

  • Well organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

  • Self-motivated; keeps pace with changing expectations and fast paced environment.

  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat Professional

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Required Experience
  • University degree, preferably in Communications or Marketing.

  • Bilingual in written and spoken French is a strong asset.

  • Experience working in the restaurant/food industry preferred.
