Island Health is seeking an experienced MultiMedia professional in Nanaimo, B.C.
As the MultiMedia Consultant for Region 2, you work out of a production suite at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. You are responsible for all aspects of the development and delivery of digital media products to Island Health clients and partners. These include clinical teams, Communications and Stakeholder Engagement teams, Executive and Regional Leadership teams, the Board of Governors, funding foundations, and government and post-secondary education partners. You will play a lead role in the management and production of health promotion, community engagement, patient education, staff training and corporate messaging media for online distribution.
We are seeking a highly creative self-starter who can innovate both cinematically and with all aspects of digital media production and event support. You are a motivated, collaborative team player with proven experience working independently through pre-production, production and post for multiple delivery channels. Your portfolio demonstrates your ability to organize, direct and manage diverse groups of partners and stakeholders. These include production teams, professional and technical staff, volunteers, project talent and health care staff. You work within established budgets and effectively manage personal privacy, care constraints and confidentiality issues.
Ideally, you have a Bachelor’s degree in Media Production or a related discipline, with a focus on digital media production. You have five years’ recent experience in producing multimedia programs, preferably in a health care environment. As travel is required, you must have a valid Class 5 or higher B.C. Driver’s License and the use of a personal vehicle.
Your work demonstrates an expanding set of skills and abilities with new and emerging multimedia technologies, tools and software. You have expert knowledge of and competence with current video production and multimedia capture equipment including digital cameras, lighting, sound and peripherals, computing networks and production server environments.
You have advanced knowledge of video and multimedia production software including Final Cut ProX, Motion, Compressor, Logic Pro, MS Office, Izotope RX6 [all required]; and Adobe CS, Camtasia, WebEx, TeamViewer and Sharepoint. You have advanced computing skills in a networked environment using MacOSX, IOS, Windows [required]; and Linux and Android [preferred].
