Marketing Manager

Collega International Inc. is the distributor of AVEDA products within Canada. We own and operate 17 Experience Centres, 4 hairstyling schools and 7 Salon-Spa locations.

We are looking for a Marketing Manager with both great creative ideas and strong analytical skills; this is an exciting position for an innovative marketer with proven ability to drive results. Reporting to the company President, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a dynamic marketing team.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the ongoing design, development and implementation of strategic marketing campaigns to build sales
  • Establish acceptable best practices and processes for implementation by the marketing team
  • Develop innovative strategies to achieve desired market positions for the different brands
  • Responsible for overseeing and managing marketing /communications budgets for specific business units of responsibility and participate in overall marketing budget activities
  • Continually identify new and innovative marketing opportunities and to refine programs
  • Work directly with the Sales and Operations teams, to recommend, develop, and execute sales and promotional activities to achieve sales goals
  • Prepare budgets, quarterly forecasts and business reports
  • Manage the creation, distribution and inventory of all collateral and in-store marketing materials
  • Manage the execution of tactical elements of marketing programs and product launches, including setting up promotions, working collaboratively with the Marketing and the Creative teams, ensuring communication to all location staff
  • Provide detailed reports on all key marketing activities
  • Oversee retention programs
  • Analyze results and competitive trends; provide feedback and recommendations

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a marketing management role
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in marketing, advertising or related fields of study
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in an environment of rapid change and shifting priorities
  • Must be a team leader and effective team player
  • Able to work collaboratively and independently, excellent judgment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in developing acquisition and retention programs
  • Wholesale Beauty/Cosmetics industry experience preferred
