We have an opening for a Technology Analyst to join our Technology Department at our office in downtown Toronto or our Brantford location.
This position is responsible for participating and implementing IT projects within various areas of the company. This role will work with 3rd party vendors as well as with other technology team members to evaluate, monitor and support service levels. This role will also provide support for various internal systems and processes including BCP, DR, IT assets, network and telephony.
Investigate and recommend information technology approaches, policies, and procedures suitable for BrokerLink as it relates to network and telephony solutions. Ensure the network and telephony systems operate according to internal standards, external accrediting standards and legal and security requirements. Monitor system performance, communicating issues with management/customers, and provide input to service betterment.
Coordinate and engage with 3rd party vendors to ensure stability and effective operation of the firm’s network and telephony solutions. With our technology team members, evaluate and monitor service levels according to contracts.
Assist users in diagnosing and solving telephony and data communications problems. Train users in the use of equipment and software. Provide local IT Support for the region user base and secondary support for other offices as required.
Participate in the planning and implementation of technology and telecommunications projects across company.
Create and update relevant documentation and systems to enhance support and standardized processes for the Technology department.
Contribute to the Disaster Recovery Plan and support the Business Continuity Plan ensuring timely and effective restoration of network and telephony services in the event of a disaster or failure.
Foster a working environment of collaborative communication, superior customer service and teamwork. Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships.
Skills and Experience:
Hands on telephony support and networking experience particularly in Nortel, Avaya and Cisco environment.
Hands on experience in hosted PBX solutions from Primus and Cisco desired but not mandatory.
