Account Executive


We are seeking a highly motivated sales professional to join the team at our upscale lifestyle magazine.

This position offers a base salary, generous commission and high earning potential.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify, establish and maintain relationships with advertisers and ad agencies
  • Identify new sales opportunities via cold calling and prospecting at agency and retail level
  • Engage advertisers and agency decision makers with our brand
  • Assist in the development of strategies that maximize revenue from new customers and retain existing customers
  • Manage and update your prospects and clients on a consistent basis and maintain all key performance indicators
  • Engage in regular sales reviews and forecast activities
  • Leverage strong prospecting, account management and closing skills to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales objectives
  • Prospect and maintain business with emails, social networks, phone calls and in person
  • Represent our brand when engaging with local businesses or attending events
  • Work with publication art/editorial team to produce ads/content for your clients

Skills Required

  • Proven success in meeting sales targets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills – Word, Excel, strong email communication and research skills
  • High level of integrity and strong work ethic
  • Commitment to customer service
  • Ability to thrive in a target driven environment
  • Ability to make sales presentations to individuals and groups
  • Agency knowledge an asset
  • 3 to 5 years sales experience considered a strong asset, publishing industry sales an advantage
