MEDIA SALES REPRESENTATIVE
We are seeking a highly motivated sales professional to join the team at our upscale lifestyle magazine.
This position offers a base salary, generous commission and high earning potential.
- Identify, establish and maintain relationships with advertisers and ad agencies
- Identify new sales opportunities via cold calling and prospecting at agency and retail level
- Engage advertisers and agency decision makers with our brand
- Assist in the development of strategies that maximize revenue from new customers and retain existing customers
- Manage and update your prospects and clients on a consistent basis and maintain all key performance indicators
- Engage in regular sales reviews and forecast activities
- Leverage strong prospecting, account management and closing skills to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales objectives
- Prospect and maintain business with emails, social networks, phone calls and in person
- Represent our brand when engaging with local businesses or attending events
- Work with publication art/editorial team to produce ads/content for your clients
- Proven success in meeting sales targets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills – Word, Excel, strong email communication and research skills
- High level of integrity and strong work ethic
- Commitment to customer service
- Ability to thrive in a target driven environment
- Ability to make sales presentations to individuals and groups
- Agency knowledge an asset
- 3 to 5 years sales experience considered a strong asset, publishing industry sales an advantage
