Promotions Coordinator, K-Rock 105.7, Country 93.5, KiSS 102.7
Rogers Radio Kingston is seeking a Promotions Coordinator who is able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Reporting to the Promotions Director in Kingston ON, this individual needs to demonstrate high energy and an outgoing personality while they engage listeners, clients, and the general public at station events.
Manage promotional inventory
Build promotional campaigns based on client and station needs
Manage website content including events pages, contest pages and legal rules
Meet with clients as needed and develop professional relationships outside of building
Execute station events and on-site promotions, including set-up of various signage, equipment, and driving branded vehicles for on location events
Proactively engage listeners, clients and the general public
Troubleshoot and solve problems independently as they arise with minimal supervision.
Assist with set up of equipment and hosting for station remotes
Execute live on location cut ins for All Stations each weekend while at events
Establish strong relationships with other team members and key partners
Maintain promotional signage and handouts, equipment, station vehicles, and storage area
Attend all major station promotions, designated client promotions, and non-profit Street Team events as required
Attend and participate in meetings as required
Provide regular event feedback, including post-event wrap-up reports under direction of The Promotions Director
Board operating, and technical set up for live broadcasts or remotes as required
Graduate of Radio Broadcasting program or previous radio work experience an asset
Comfortable with appearing on air during short hits from promotional locations is an asset.
Strong knowledge of Kingston and surrounding area is a must
High energy, outgoing and eager to initiate conversation with the public
Must be able to take initiative and flourish in a team environment
Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and a strong desire and passion to succeed
Ability to work well under minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Independent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Must be highly organized with a talent for multitasking
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays - occasionally on short notice.
Willingness and ability to roll up your sleeves to lift heavy objects and set up station displays, while treating equipment with care and respect
Experience with Photoshop/Illustrator, Wordpress and video editing software are all assets
Experience with social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Sound Cloud is a must
Must hold a valid full Provincial Driver’s license.
