Junior Marketing Analyst (Home Furniture)

Recrute Action provides quality recruitment services by providing support and a personalized approach for both job seekers and businesses. We are currently looking for an Associate Product Manager for one of our clients in the field of home furnishing supplies located in Montreal-North.

Our client is a leading manufacturer/importer of home furnishing products. Their division specializes in a wide variety of ready to assemble furniture that brings both comfort and value to every living space.

Reporting directly to the Product Development Manager, the Associate Product Manager is responsible for an assigned product line (s) and is the lead resource when product expertise is required. The Associate Product Manager will provide cross-functional support and communication amongst many departments within the office and suppliers. Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Accountable for the overall management of a product line in an assigned category. Understand each product thoroughly to ensure market growth
  • Effectively and efficiently lead product development and maintain records of each phase from product design, sample approval, data entry and product marketing
  • Develop roadmaps and prioritize based on strategy, customer needs and competitive moves.
  • Manage and Ensure deadlines of all deliverables are met for product delivery
  • Work with internal and external teams to coordinate, drive, monitor and direct the status of development project.
  • Lead and manage rapid product cycle as part of a highly dynamic, lean, and multi-disciplinary team to quickly bring to market new product concepts.
  • Communicate daily with suppliers concerning current and new products
  • Monitor and provide accurate, up-to-date product specifications to marketing and sales department
  • Assess the industry and marketplace and provide trend reports
  • Answer questions/concerns customers may have regarding new and existing products. Analyze the needs of customers against product design

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated and sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills
  • Multi-tasking and working well under pressure in order to meet deadlines is key
  • Work well individually and comfortable working in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Fluent in English and French and knowledge of Spanish is an asset
