Marketing & Communications Specialist

A Marketing & Communications Specialist is responsible for the execution of all marketing and promotional materials to support Lakeside’s strategic direction. This can be accomplished through the development of materials for use with customer training, seminars, tradeshows and campus activities. The Marketing & Communications Specialist will also be responsible for the administration and maintenance of the company’s intranet.

The primary purpose for the position of Marketing & Communications Specialist is the management and creation of all marketing and promotional initiatives for Lakeside Process Controls Ltd. The Marketing & Communications Specialist will ensure that Lakeside is represented with professionalism and integrity. Through enhanced and appealing marketing, Lakeside aims to maximize on business opportunities to continue our growth. The Marketing & Specialist will play an instrumental role in ensuring our company image, including our logos; appearance, messaging and branding are well represented to our customers and the public.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Online Presence & Management (Social Media, Intranet &Website

· Use of Analytics tools (Google analytics, Social Media, Intranet)

· Basic understanding of current SEO Best Practices

· General Maintenance (Updating logos, dates, events)

· Creating and publishing press releases on website and appropriate PR distribution sites

· Track and monitor site metrics – visitors, traffic sources, content, interactions

· Create and maintain intranet

Tradeshows, Seminars & Events

· Create and organize promotional material for show (literature giveaways, PPT’s, etc.)

· Create Seminar Registration Page on Website & Constant Contact

· Design seminar invites

· Coordinate trade show material (Booth, equipment, promo items, demos)

Email Marketing

· Use of Email Marketing Software – Constant Contact

· Managing Permission based customer contact list

· Creating and executing email campaigns

· Tracking email interaction - open, click, bounce rates and adjusting future campaigns

· Distributing any leads to appropriate sales contact

Customer Feedback / Think Customer

· Use of Online Survey Software – Survey Monkey

· Daily Monitoring of submissions of customer feedback forms

· Monitoring social media/events email and replying to inquiries

Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)

· Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· Creating a variety of templates for LPC

Graphic Design

· Use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

· Ensuring brand consistency across all outlets

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Knowledge of various marketing techniques

  • Keen eye and fluency for compelling visual design such as logos, posters, templates, etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University Degree OR College Diploma in Marketing or Communications
  • 2-3 years of Marketing and/or communications experience
  • Experience in:
  • Social media platforms
  • Content creation (blogs, press release, internal communications, social media posts)
  • Copywriting
  • Campaign development (promoting new products and services)
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously
