Radio Technical Producer - 980 CKNW
Corus Radio Vancouver and 980 CKNW have an exciting opportunity for a part time Technical Producer in our Vancouver studios. Reporting to the Brand Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the presentation of CKNW and Network programming, the production of live and recorded daily talk shows and features, paid programming, podcasting and some audio production. The successful candidate must be flexible in terms of their schedule.
Operate the master control board, Media Touch and Burli during live, local talk shows, including controlling mic levels, phone calls, imaging elements, commercials, and all other audio sources during the course of a show.
Knowledge of Media Touch and the ability to set up a studio and prepare log for broadcast.
Knowledge of Burli.
Knowledge of OMNY.
Collaborate with show producer and host for content.
Collaborate with other producers on story development and dialogue.
Collaborate with the CKNW Newsroom on breaking news execution.
Edit and upload show audio, features and other programming as needed.
Assist the Production Department with features and production elements.
What We Need From You:
To be a friendly, positive, team player with acute attention to detail and radio control room experience.
A working understanding of Media Touch and Burli is helpful, as well as technical/computer skills.
Intermediate to advanced digital audio editing skills.
The ability to multitask, communicate, stay calm and trouble shoot in high pressure & evolving situations.
The ability to anticipate and quickly react to an on air situation.
A creative thinker who enhances on air programming with appropriate music and sound effects in a timely manner.
