Hello and welcome to my jewellery store located in the heart of Yorkville. Practicing here for over 25 years, I love creating interesting and unique pieces for all occasions. With each custom piece, I like to find the perfect blend of sophisticated, elegant and modern touches. Besides custom jewellery, I also love to do restorations, repairs, and redesigns to breathe new life into old and worn-out pieces.

After all this time doing business mostly through my store, I am looking to increase my social media presence and expand my affordable jewellery collections in order to grow my online customer base. I hope to bring a creative and forward-thinking individual to the team to help me with this transition and going forward!

The Role

The Social Media Manager will primarily be responsible for creating content for our social media pages. This includes:

• Taking product photos and videos using a jewellery lightbox
• Taking ‘product in action’ photos and videos of jewellery on consenting clients and ourselves
• Creating attractive and creative social media content and ads in Photoshop, Canva or similar
• Posting content to Instagram and Facebook on regular occasions (twice per week)
• Understanding the optimal requirements for all content on these two platforms
• Running ad campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, and Google
• Creating a cohesive social media strategy to further the brand
• Tracking, measuring and analyzing social media content and ad data to improve the strategy over time
• Monitoring and engaging in relevant social discussions related to our company and/or industry
• Help with managing our Shopify website, including uploading new products and updating images

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in marketing or a related field
• Minimum 3+ years of social media, content creation, and social media advertising experience
• Exceptional written communication skills
• Experience in developing a social media strategy and growing social media accounts
• Proven skills in macro photography and video especially if related to jewellery
• Experience with Photoshop, Canva or related software
• An interest in jewellery
• Proficient in Shopify
