Forum Assistant (10 Week Contract)

This position reports to the Associate Producer, The Meighen Forum and Digital Programming or designate and is part of the Director's Office team.     



  • Collaborate with the Associate Producer, The Meighen Forum and Digital Programming to research potential Forum guests to assemble detailed background  information and summarize the material
  • Actively participate in development meetings providing input and suggestions and assist in future planning including schedule development and researching potential guests
  • Oversee Forum events to ensure smooth operation
  • Draft invitations to potential guest for future Forum events
  • Coordinate prep meetings, recordings and approvals
  • Coordinate marketing assets for Forum events including images, descriptions and photos
  • Track guest honorariums and payments



  • Post-Secondary Education in an Arts or Communications program and/or equivalent work experience
  • Strong writing and research, documentation skills required
  • A keen awareness of local, national, and international events and the Canadian arts landscape with an ability to generate innovative ideas for the Form events
  • High level of self-discipline to effectively organize, execute and deliver research assignments on deadline
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • A high level of confidentiality is required on all work performed
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite  


Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and methodical with an ability to multi-task.  

This is a full-time contract position begins May 31, 2021 and will require the successful candidate to work remotely.   

Job Type: Contract (10 weeks)

Hourly Rate: $20-23 per hour
