Is this the role for you?

We’re looking for a Sales Coordinator to join the Global Distribution Group. GDG is responsible for the distribution of series and features to Free TV, FVOD, Pay TV, SVOD, Basic Cable, Pay-per-view, Video-on-demand and electronic sell- through/download to own (EST/DTO).

The purpose of this role is to support all sales activity for the GDG Canada Office in order to achieve on revenue targets and corporate goals. From tracking available content, assembling sales packages and liaison with internal teams (e g marketing and operations) the candidate will assist in supporting all sales efforts. The ideal Candidate should understand the Canadian SVOD/TV marketplace and a have a passion for content.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Manage and update the GDG inventory of available features and series (first run and library) on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Track access to dubs and masters
  • Review sales history and clearances.
  • Market research as required/directed.
  • Coordinate packages for buyers in French and English, as directed
  • Work with GDG Research to pull insights, ratings etc to help position content for sale
  • Coordinate with the VIMN channel group to confirm availability of shows (to avoid selling content that is also being used in Canada through channel agreements (EG Comedy Central, Nick, CMT, Paramount Network and P+).
  • New Customer setup in CRM as required.
  • Liaise with Commercial Operations in order to support deal flow through internal systems and ensure all agreements are fully serviced and delivered to our clients
  • Responsible for sending screeners to clients and coordinating feedback as directed
  • As needed, provide support to the VP and the SVP of Sales in Toronto.
  • Any other assignments as delegated, could include admin work

 

What are we looking for?

  • Fluent/high level in English and Canadian French, a 3rd language is preferable.
  • University/College Degree Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant work experience or directly related educational background
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power Point, and Excel (strength in excel and data analysis/manipulation)
  • Ability to self-manage and multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Familiar with a variety of industry concepts and properties
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with written and oral fluency in English
  • Interest in content, the entertainment industry and loves watching and talking about television.
