The Golden Opportunity

To better serve the production industry’s growing ambitions, our Toronto team is looking for an individual to join us in the role of Director, Sales & Client Services. This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Vice President, Eastern Canada.

 

Responsibilities

  • Execute sales strategy by identifying customer needs, selling the appropriate equipment and services across all our lines of business.
  • Collaborate with the sales team, CSRs, operational & technical service experts and company leadership to provide superlative customer service and continuously seeking to improve what we bring to our customers.
  • Promote all WFW lines of business at the earliest time possible.
  • Develop business through multiple marketing and sales techniques, including but not limited to cold calling, conducting in-person meetings, and partnering with strategic clients.
  • Create strong relationships, maintain a targeted understanding of customers’ processes, establish customer needs and buying cycles to drive sales and repeat business effectively.
  • Assemble bids and proposals with CSRs and all lines of business representatives and negotiate deals with clients to include as many lines of business as possible.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales top-line revenue and margin goals, as defined by leadership.
  • Adhere to the sales process, including but not limited to pipeline development and accurate forecasting via internal tools.
  • Collaborate with our marketing department to promote our brand, grow our customer base, drive revenue and profits through events and tradeshows, and attend industry events and receptions as required after hours and on weekends.
  • Work with CSRs to verify billing accuracy and sign off on approval so the final billing process can occur.
  • Work collaboratively with the national sales team to assess upcoming shows and strategic opportunities.
  • Attend all sales meetings, focusing on past performance and expectations for the current quarter, analysis of pipeline, key wins, and personal improvement goals.
  • Develop partnerships with all lines of business representatives and optimize the joint selling opportunities within the company.
  • Use quarterly forecasting and pipeline management to manage sales growth.
  • Be autonomous and take full ownership of the work, drive personal development, and take responsibility for every detail, every step of the way.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Adequate knowledge of the film equipment rental house industry is required.
  • Ability to reach expected sales quota by leveraging your experience and track record of meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Excellent sales skills, including written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be empathetic, flexible, an active listener, and persuasive.
  • Must be a polished presenter with a service-orientated focus.
  • A self-starter with the ability to build relationships, communicate product knowledge, and close deals.
  • A proven track record in cultivating new relationships with customers, translating their business goals into solutions and problem-solving.
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively with individuals across various functions and departments independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Advanced experience in the Microsoft Office suite of products along with working knowledge and previous experience with a CRM.
  • Must be able to carry on duties with the utmost dignity and tactfulness.
