Co-founded by industry veteran CEO John Morayniss, Blink49 Studios is a full-service indie studio focused on the development, production, and monetization of premium scripted and unscripted content for a global market.  Blink49 Studios was formed in partnership with its anchor investor and lead strategic partner FIFTH SEASON (formerly Endeavor Content).  Blink49 Studios takes a content-first approach by partnering with best-in-class writers, creators, producers, and talent as well as supporting new and diverse voices.  In 2022, the company was awarded Playback’s Dealmaker of the Year.

Currently, Blink49 Studios has two projects commissioned including the upcoming primetime series Ride for Hallmark in the U.S. and Bell Media in Canada as well as the crime drama series Sight Unseen with Sisters Troubetzkoy Productions for Bell Media. In addition, the company has secured three first-look deals with prolific creator and showrunner Sheri Elwood, Canadian writer and producer Ben Sokolowski and world-renowned content creator and entertainer Lilly Singh.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the EVP Scripted, this senior production executive will work across development and production in both comedy and drama. The ideal candidate is a self starter has experience taking projects from inception through development and production.  Strong relationships with writers, buyers and the creative community are essential. The candidate is able to manage multiple series on behalf of the studio working with all external and internal partners as well as have a fluency with production . The candidate should have knowledge of the Canadian, US and International markets and a proven ability to sell projects. Candidates are welcome from across Canada. Some travel will be required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of eight years’ experience in independent production or broadcast.
