Newsfirst Multimedia is seeking –

Full-time, Advertising consultants for its 4 newspapers and websites

Among them The Laval News serving Laval and North Shore News serving the cities north of Laval.

 (possibility to work from home)

We are looking for a passionate Multi-media professional consultant to be part of our team and have a prosperous career with us.

The successful candidates will be comfortable with both digital and print media and will be responsible for selling all platforms of our Digital Solutions, and print campaigns and special sections within our paper.

Under the supervision of management, you will need to complete the following deliverables, without being limited to:

YOUR MISSION

• Introduce to businesses our multi media platforms (Newspaper and Digital-web ads)
• Help clients find the best ways to grow their business through our various platforms.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Primary responsibilities include business-to-business (B2B) advertising and marketing sales and building business for our media platforms

• Prospecting, marketing, appointment setting, and face-to-face presentations 
• Work with our graphic designers to enhance the visual of the clients ads
• Transmit the visuals (proofs) to our various clients and make appropriate corrections according to their requirements;

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• College or university degree in communications or in sales related studies,
• 2 years sales experience OR 3 years general professional experience;
• Knowledge of the following software on: Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word
• Very good knowledge of English and French (Oral, grammar, syntax) Greek will be a plus
• Good sense of coordination and priority management;
• Well organized & efficient with time
• Friendly personality & confident communication skills
• Prospecting, marketing, appointment setting, and face-to-face presentations
• Ability to work independently and get to appointments with local businesses
• High personal standards for success
• Dependable & a team player with great customer service
• A strong work ethic
• Timeliness;
• Open to criticism;
• Team spirit.
• Preferably to have a car

ALL CANDIDATES MUST

- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident or refugee status in Canada (non-residents that have a temporary work visa or are waiting to receive their permanent residency, are not admissible); -Must be legally authorized to work in Canada;

-Practical knowledge of both French and English.
