Vortex Media is looking for a Production Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the SVP of Production & supervised by the producer, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of industry specific experience, in TV movies and/or narrative features.

Main Duties:

• Support the administrative, organisational and creative needs of the physical production team in Hamilton, ON
• Responsible for managing below-the-line crew during physical production, under the supervision of the producer and executives
• In charge of managing the production schedules, handling budgeting, transportation logistics, contracts and organizing workflows
• Schedule and organise departmental needs
• Liaise with internal heads of departments involving schedules, distros, updates, contracts, budgets, etc.
• Negotiate with suppliers and vendors
• Take on different tasks and assignments as required

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills - written and verbal
• Ability to manage different departments
• Strong organisational skills to handle virtual and in office production requirements
• Extensive working knowledge with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Final Draft and Movie Magic
• G license
• Clear understanding of physical production in regards to the TV movie and feature space.
• Clear understanding of production and working with crews
• Positive attitude, resourceful and flexible, with an eagerness to learn
• Has worked as a production manager or line producer on 2 more TV movies or narrative features
